Motorcars 860/M475.0 were designed for universal passenger trains with electric power transmission on all axles. 2 prototypes were produced in the Vagonka Tatra Studénka factory in 1974-75.. The planned production of approx. 400 units did not take place due to the lack of interest of industrial producers. The prototype was in passenger service until 1997.
