The 163 series electric locomotive (E499.3) was manufactured in several series at Škoda Plzeň between 1984 and 1992, with a total of 120 units + 60 modified 162 series units. It was created by removing the AC part from the 363 locomotive. The locomotive, with a power output of 4, 000 kW is equipped with thyristor control, is designed to pull trains on 3, 000 V DC lines, replacing the 140 and 141 series. After the split in 1992, the locomotives are used universally by ČD for both freight and passenger trains, while ŽSR uses them only for passenger transport. Later, ČD proceeded with the reconstruction of the 162 series for higher speeds, and ČD-cargo proceeded with the modification to the dual-system 363.5 series. 

The model is equipped with a motor with a flywheel, switchable lighting according to the direction of travel, and lighting in the driver's cab. The locomotive is equipped with a Plux16 interface. Accessories are included with the model.
